I'm one of those few lucky people who's hobby became a career. As a child I enjoyed taking things apart to see how they worked and putting them back together in new ways. As a teen, my father gave me a computer that had been rescued from a house fire. The case was melted and it was covered in fire suppressant. My curious nature took over and once I got the system up and running I was hooked.
Fast forward about 30 years; I now lead a team specializing in cybersecurity strategy, systems architecture and engineering for a global software company, but my passion for new technology has never faded. Through the years I've experienced how innovations like the Internet, cloud computing, and social media have affected society.
I was once asked what I liked best about technology. What I like best is the creative expression; there's no telling what someone will do with it. Paper was invented to convey written messages, and someone turned it into a paper airplane and let it fly. I hope this blog inspires thought, makes you ask questions, and moves your journey forward.
